The Educational Leadership: Organizational Justice, Equity & Inclusion (OJEI) program that we helped start in 2020 has evolved beyond Western Illinois University (WIU). When the founding coordinators, Dr. Tracy Davis and Dr. Stu Yager, retired in 2025 college leadership decided to pause the program. This hurdle provided the impetus to continue the powerful community outside of its original institutional home. Today, OJEI has evolved into Cultivating Compassionate Coexistence with many of the students, graduates, and faculty joining together to create this new community.
